Who we interviewed
Cathy R. lives outside New Orleans in a household of four. She says the refrigerator was purchased and installed January 12, 2026 for $4,050, replacing an older standard-depth model. At interview, she had owned it about eight and a half months. The site owner knows the interview subjects personally; Cathy did not report receiving the appliance from us.

Fit and everyday storage
Installation in a dedicated counter-depth alcove went smoothly, Cathy says, though the doors needed more swing room than expected. However, tall pitchers or oversized platters can require a shelf adjustment. Meanwhile, she uses Door-in-Door for frequently reached items.
Produce and temperature
Specifically, she sets the main compartment to 37°F and the freezer to 0°F. Digital thermometers placed at several spots over a few days suggested steady main shelf temperatures to her, without a worrisome warm spot. However, those readings were not photographed or independently calibrated. In contrast, delicate leafy greens can wilt sooner than she would like.
Water, ice and app
For example, the dispenser handles pitchers, and Cathy reports using cubed, crushed, mini cubes and Craft Ice. She has had no jams or leaks. In addition, ThinQ door alerts and filter reminders are useful, with occasional short connection drops.
Noise, cleaning and repair history
Ice dropping is briefly audible in a quiet kitchen. For example, Cathy wipes the mirror frequently; the stainless frame is easier to keep clean. Furthermore, she reports no malfunction, repair, warranty claim or food loss during approximately eight and a half months. However, her roughly $50–$60 annual filter estimate is unverified.
Who should consider it?
Cathy would buy it again for a household that entertains and values ice variety, Door-in-Door convenience and a counter-depth appearance. On the other hand, someone seeking simpler operation, a lower purchase price or longer preservation of delicate produce may prefer a different design.
